Jefferson City, Missouri – April 8, 2015. Two Three Rivers College students were honored by the Missouri Community College Association today in Jefferson City. The students were named to the All-Missouri Academic Team, an honor bestowed on the state’s top community college students. The students honored include:
Amanda Hendrix. Ms. Hendrix is currently studying social work, with plans to eventually earn a master’s degree in social work. Her career goal is to help people by doing something she loves. She has been very active in Phi Theta Kappa, the student veterans association, and as a CASA volunteer.
Micaela Griffin. Ms. Griffin, a general education major, plans to complete a double major in occupational therapy and theater and speech. Her goal is to help others with the career she chooses and motivate them in life. She has been active in PTK, her church choir, theater, and crocheting for a variety of organizations.
Each student received a scholarship made possible by a donation from MOHELA, the state’s not-for-profit secondary market lender and servicer in the student loan industry.
